Earlier this year, Strehl launched Next Level Sandbag, an East Jordan-based business which fills sandbags in several color choices for use in shoring up assets such as lawns, outdoor fireplaces and trees. The firm also can help with the bags’ installation.
Strehl got some experience filling and placing sandbags a few years ago, when his father enlisted his help to protect the shoreline of the family’s property along Lake Charlevoix’s South Arm as water levels rose. More recently, the 2014 graduate of St. Mary Cathedral High School in Gaylord obtained a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s in education and sports administration, both from Michigan State University...
